C2C Crochet Graph Maker

A C2C graph maker lets you draw a corner-to-corner crochet design on a grid, one tile per square. Click cells to colour them, then read the generated written instructions: tile counts for every diagonal row, colour runs in working order, and whether you increase, work steady or decrease.

How do you read a C2C graph?

Corner-to-corner crochet starts in the bottom-left corner and grows in diagonal rows. Row 1 is one tile, row 2 is two tiles, and so on until you reach the shorter edge. Rectangles then work steady rows, and every design finishes by decreasing to one tile at the top-right corner.

Direction alternates each row because you turn the work. The instructions list colours in the order you meet them on that row.

How big will my C2C blanket be?

Each tile of 3 chains and 3 double crochet in worsted yarn with a 5 mm hook is roughly 1 inch square, but measure a small test square. Multiply tiles across and down by your tile size to get the finished dimensions.

Frequently asked questions

What is a C2C tile?

A block of chains and double crochet worked diagonally. Mini C2C uses half double crochet for smaller tiles.

How do I change colour mid-row?

Complete the last yarn over of the previous tile with the new colour, and carry or bobbin the unused yarn.

Does the grid save?

The grid stays while the page is open. Copy the written instructions to keep them.
