Pattern Stitch

- To work a raised dc: Yo, insert hook from right to left under post of next dc on last dc row completed, finish dc, lengthening loops so that work remains flat.
- Repeat Rows 2–5 of back main piece for pattern. Always keep in pattern when dec or inc.
- To dec at beg of row: Sl st over specified number of sts. To dec at end of row: Leave specified number of sts unworked.
- To inc at beg of dc row: Work 2 dc (ch 3 counts as 1 dc) in first st. To inc at end of dc row: Work 2 dc in last st.
- To inc on neck ribbing: Work 2 sl sts in one st. To dec on neck ribbing: Sk first sl st.
- To dec on pocket lining: Draw up a loop in each of first 2 sts, yo and draw through all 3 loops on hook.
